Qatar Airways has released a film to promote its sponsorship of Barcelona FC. The ad, created by 180 Amsterdam, features Barcelona players filling various jobs around the city – Gerard Piqué, for example, takes the role of a customs officer. It will be aired on TV and online (through YouTube and the brand’s website) and forms part of the wider campaign “Qatar Airways and FC Barcelona – a team that unites the world”. The work was written by Will Lowe, art directed by Victor Monclus and directed by Nick Gordon through Somesuch & Co.

This is an amazing advertisement of one of the best airlines and my best soccer team. The fact that Qatar Airways and FC Barcelona are working together is beneficial for both the airline and football club. The airline shows great potential in wanting to be the best in the world serving its customers. Similarly, FC Barcelona is one of the best teams in Europe with top quality players and is always looking for first place in all competitions. This is a very wise decision from Qatar Airways in choosing FC Barcelona to be their main partner. Also, FC Barcelona is one of the most supported team in the middle east along with Real Madrid. Qatar Airways competes with one of its rivals Fly Emirates that sponsors Real Madrid. This creates an amazing image of advertising for the clubs, airlines, and customers. Qatar and Qatar Airways along with other Qatari companies will invest more and more in sports in the upcoming years looking forward to see amazing and creative advertisements.
