OMD wins flydubai media brief

flydubai has appointed OMD UAE to handle its media communications account across its network following a pitch.

The low-cost airline, which has flights to 44 countries, will work with the agency on media planning and buying and on data and analytics.

The account was previously held by MediaVest.  Amsterdam-based boutique agency Nomads handles flydubai’s  brand strategy, while Y&R took over creative duties in January 2015. 

Commenting on the appointment, Mike Evans, senior vice president for Customer Experience, Brand & Communications, said: “In our search for a media buying partner, OMD has clearly demonstrated the tangible value we could extract from our media communications to match our growth ambition, especially in their use of data and analytics in unlocking sharper insights for our media strategies and maximising profitability.
