The percentage of TikTok users who regularly access news via the app rose to 43 per cent in 2023 from 22 per cent a year earlier, according to a new study from the Pew Research Center.
News agency Reuters has reported that according to research atleast half of the US Adults receive some form of news from social media platforms.
TikTok as a platform is known to cater to the younger generations, the Millennial and Gen Z audiences.
Reuters also reported that news organisations are competing with TikTok and other social media platforms for younger consumer’s attention and advertisers’ budgets.
