D&AD announced the jury members that will preside over the judging of the organisation’s 2022 Awards programme, including leading creative thinkers from the Middle East.
This year’s jury features some of country’s biggest and brightest names, such as Ramzi Moutran (Founder & COO, Do Epic Sh*t), Serena Abi Aad (Creative Director, Havas Middle East), Vidya Manmohan (Creative Chairperson, V4Good), Seyoan Vela (CCO, Livingroom), Rita El Hachem (executive producer, Stoked), Ali Rez (Regional Executive Creative Director, Impact BBDO Middle East), Samira Rafi (Creative Director, Boomerang Communication) amongst others – each of whom represents the breadth of creative potential that D&AD seeks to celebrate through its awards. They will be in charge of reviewing and recognising exceptional work created within the past year in the belief that platforming creative thinking is always worthwhile.
Seyoan Vela, chief creative officer of Livingroom, and a judge in the Side Hustle category, said: “It’s a pleasure to be asked to judge what is still the most respected awards in the creative industries. And it is admirable that D&AD have made such an effort in recent years to diversify the talent pool of judges to reflect the growing diversity of the industry globally.”
Following the success of past virtual editions, D&AD will continue its digital-first approach to the 2022 awards to guarantee the safety of its members, jury, and participants. D&AD’s distinguished jurors will once again assemble virtually to review the work, holding each piece to the same high standards that the awards are renowned for. The only exceptions are the Book Design, Graphic Design, Magazine & Newspaper Design, Packaging Design and Product Design categories, where in-person judging is essential.
