Campaign’s PR Faces to Watch 2020 – Hadeel Mansour, Account manager, Markettiers

Cheryl King, managing director, Markettiers MENA: When Hadeel joined two years ago, she had zero broadcast and PR experience, but she was hungry to learn and wanted to prove herself. Since then, Hadeel constantly impresses with her ability to learn quickly, lead on large-scale campaigns and find solutions to any challenge she’s faced with. I’ll always remember Hadeel liaising with senior police officials during our NYE fireworks live streaming, when we needed to get back to base to edit a package for news, and she convinced them to open up a road especially for us. She’s incredibly passionate; I’m so proud of her.

Career highlights

These past few years have been an incredible learning experience. I love doing things differently, using innovative techniques and educating the industry about the power of broadcast. I’ve had the freedom to take on multiple roles from media relations and producing and managing large scale campaigns, to presenting new ideas to clients. I set up PRCA’s Next Gen Arabia initiative last year, as I felt there was a need for more Arabic representation in the industry. I’m very proud to chair this, and I was equally proud when my name was called out as PRCA’s Rising Star of the Year 2020.

Guiding principles

Always keep learning, which I learnt from my managing director. Although it sounds simple, it drives me to keep wanting to make a difference.

Dream job

I’d love to learn to become a media trainer one day. I think it’s a great skill to be able to help some of the most senior people, who may be very uncomfortable on camera, understand how to deliver an excellent interview.

Side hustle

I love volunteering, and spend a lot of my time doing this outside of work. I got into it whilst I was a student at AUS and I took part in a fundraiser event for the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services. It was a lot of fun, and I saw the positive impact it was having on the community. Since then I regularly volunteer outside of work.
