Ahmed Sendos, creative director, Apco Dubai: Sarah Abdoush is a senior account executive at APCO Worldwide, based in the Dubai office. Besides having a keen eye for creating clean and innovative designs, Sarah is capable of creating content for social media channels that is engaging, innovative and creative. She is responsible for the development of campaign ideas for digital platforms that have proved to be thought-provoking and outside the box. Besides digital communication and design, Sarah has shown a great appetite for traditional communication by contributing to the company’s media relations efforts at major events in the region such as the World Government Summit, Arab Hope Makers and the Arab Reading Challenge.

Career highlights

After graduating in 2014, I became a lecturer at my university, covering two subjects: freehand drawing and colour application for first year architects, and worked on freelance design projects. I came to Dubai in 2015, and worked for a year at the British Embassy at the Arab Media Hub Office as a graphic designer. Following that, I started my journey at Apco Worldwide and have been learning about communication ever since.

Guiding principles

Ahmed Sendos taught me to work hard and never give up. His dedication and commitment taught me that anything is possible if you focus on your goals.

Dream job

Since I started my design career, I would say I started my dream job. To keep it real, another dream job would be being on set as a movie director in action.

Side hustle

I would love to create my own brand related to design and fashion one day.
